Scientific labour
Bioimplants group began its activity in 1987. Since 1996, through and Alfa Programme granted by the european community, this team is working jointly with the Maxillofacial Surgery department of medicine and dentistry faculty of Georg August Göttingen University (Germany).
From the beginning the laboratory has done researching tasks in the knowledge areas: (3312-12)- Materials essays, (3311-03)- Dentistry instruments, (3213-13)-Orthodontic-Stomatology, completing guided bone regeneration and bone augmentation studies in experimentation animals, and dental implants stability studies through in vitro techniques. With the Oriental Republic of Uruguay University, was developed a PID concerning guided bone regeneration. In collaboration with GITCO group and with engineering (Bioengineering) of Antioquia University, Colombia, was planned the study of histomorphometry in bone augmentation.
The teaching tasks completed up to date are based on international seminars of oral implantology, in context of the agreement between UNER and CAUG, postgraduate courses for dentistry professionals, and seminars for student of bioengineering.
Among all the services done, osseointegration studies are presented for the metallurgic industry, collaboration with projects of the Dentistry Faculty (UNR) and bone augmentation and biocompatibility studies in experimentation animals for national and international business. Thesis studies for foreign doctors and thesis preparation for student of bioengineering are also done.
This works have leaded to the realization of several papers and to take part in different congresses and journals.
